Employment

President at Mr. Handyman of Ft. Washington and Clinton.

Formerly (and still for special past clients and friends), owner of Dowling Web Design. See my resume here, the sites I've created here, and the story of how I got started here (Link to archive.org as it no longer exists).

Also, as an educator, I was a substitute teacher in the county program for deaf and hard of hearing from 1991 to 2014; taught Sign Language; and did contracting work for Prince George's County Parks on their Get to Know program (also now defunct).

Volunteer projects

Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church - in many ways, including webweaver/internet volunteer and social action projects.

I blog & share news for: Prince Georgians Care and host several Facebook pages, email lists, and other social networks.

I am proud to have participated in the development of REC-Room (Link to archive.org as it no longer exists) to compile information about religious education curriculum.

As a member of the Prince George's County Historical Society, I created their first web site and have helped in other ways.

Allexperts.com - I was one of 4,000+ "experts" and answered over 1,500 questions and like so many thinks I've worked with, it's defunct.

I am also an active participant of a few local civic organizations, including the Prince George's Co. Civic Federation, because I plan to live in this area for the rest of my life and I want to do whatever I can to help Prince George's County to continue and improve on being a great place to live. news photo
