About me (like you care):

This page is deliberately sparse, as I hate waiting for gratuitous graphics to download. And besides, I'm just not that interesting. I normally like performing classical music, playing bad golf, and slogging through the internet, but now all of my spare time is spent restoring my historic house.

Anyway, this is what I do:

• Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Officer (COO/CTO) for Envision Technical Services, solving business problems with the best qualified professionals in Information Technology, including Enterprise Architecture, Systems Engineering, Storage Architecture, IT Security/CISSP.
• Former Co-owner and tech-support for Dragon Internet eXchange a 100% Microsoft free, Internet Service Provider.
• Former Network Architect for SSDS, Inc. Providing technology solutions to government and industry.
• Member USENIX, SAGE and DC-SAGE - USENIX (Use UNIX) and the USENIX System Administrator's guild.
• Active member of Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church which publishes the local rag, Freedom Xpress for which I wrote this essay: Wealth and Taxes. I also gave this Sermon on Father's Day, '87, and re-read it at my father's memorial service.

As you may have guessed, I am an unrepentent Unix EMACS-loving Geek. "LINUX rules!" During my twenty-one years in the computer industry, UNIX's demise has been predicted at least as many times (Likewise for Apple). Please forgive me if I don't take the media seriously. If you care to disagree, you can email me, but you'll most likely be wasting your time.

• Mensa - Yes the elitist, HiQ society. Some of my best friends are mensans. Perhaps they could form a subsidiary group for those of us with IQs in the three-digit range and call it "Mensa Lite."
